After one year of activity, we however remarked that the effort being put into B2bridge was still provided by the same persons as in the beginning. Without a team of involved contributors, B2bridge can hardly evolve to a lively community. That’s why &lt;strong&gt;we decided to put this project on hold. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Visitors have access to the information that is broadcasted by b2bridge. In order to interact or obtain more specific information, visitors are obliged to identify themselves and become free members. We do not allow nick names, and ask each member to use his or her full name -- this way, we assure the professional level of this community. In a few years time, we hope to introduce the majority of European business marketers to this virtual environment. &lt;/p&gt;

I have to admit that the contents of the presentations were not prepared for a business audience, but the presented research results were of great validity to the industrial world I know -- so the conference was definitely interesting enough to spend some days. PhD students and professors also explained me that they too were looking for business contacts to validate their research with daily business. That triggered the idea of building a community that could bridge both worlds. In my hotel room in Milan, I sketched the first draft for this community, and the name b2bridge almost automatically got into my mind. I could not wait to get back home and check wether the url was still free. That happened to be the case -- until I registered it.&quot; &lt;/p&gt;
