Fanny Libin (Community Manager)B2bridge.eu is a pan-European community of business and industrial marketeers, both from universities and companies. The community wants to ‘bridge’ universities and companies around b2b marketing, by bringing both worlds closer together and trying to establish many fruitful contacts and interactions between them.

The community

B2bridge.eu offers a free to use community and knowledge portal for individuals operating in the field of business marketing. Visitors have access to the information that is broadcasted by b2bridge. In order to interact or obtain more specific information, visitors are obliged to identify themselves and become free members. We do not allow nick names, and ask each member to use his or her full name -- this way, we assure the professional level of this community. In a few years time, we hope to introduce the majority of European business marketers to this virtual environment.

Theme Hubs

The organization behind b2bridge.eu initiates work groups, who share knowledge around a certain b2b marketing theme and use the portal as their working environment annex knowledge base. These work groups are called Theme Hubs, indicating they are small kernels who provide an axial driving force to the community. Theme Hubs consist of invited professionals who have the time and interest to interact with peers in other countries. They physically gather a couple of times a year and keep in touch via the portal.

Behind the scenes

This is an initiative of Forte. Forte is a Belgian-based marketing company with the clear European ambition to become the expertise leader in the field of industrial marketing. Founder and president Jan Lagast has developed new methodologies for business marketing, increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of industrial marketing. He is often asked as a visiting professor on industrial marketing, high-tech startups and sales argumentation. Why this community? Forte wants to dig deeper into its own knowledge and actively looks for cooperation with European universities. Moreover, Forte wants to show its expertise leadership by taking the initiative for this project, and be visibly present in the European community of business marketers.
